The Current State of Interest Rates

As the attached chart demonstrates, mortgage interest rates are at historic lows. If you own a home and have not re-financed over the past year, please consider doing so now. If you're considering buying a new home, your buying power currently may be at its highest due to the low rates.
To shed further light on this, consider the following: If rates increase by half of a percent and you buy a home for 5% less than your target price, then your monthly mortgage payment actually goes UP... your buying power goes DOWN!
